The Adler Trio
The Adler Trio has become an integral part of Israel's cultural scene and has won international reputation as harmonica virtuosi. With a rich repertoire that ranges from classics to pop, from soul to country and western, ethnic and world music, sound of Israel and the Jewish music, the Adler Trio has thrilled audiences in the United States, Germany, France, Canada, South Africa, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, England, Uruguay, Taiwan, Japan and Israel. The Trio has released eight LP records and six CDs. In 1984, the Trio was the featured artist at the SPAH convention in the United States. and was introduced to the world harmonica community as the best harmonica trio in the world. In 1987, the Trio had been invited to participate in the First World Harmonica Championship as adjudicators together with Jerry Murad and other top players. They had been invited in 1989, 1993 and 1995 to perform in the gala concert of the world championship and participate as adjudicator in Germany and Japan. |

Robert Bonfiglio
Hailed as "the Paganini of the Harmonica" by the Los Angeles Times, Robert Bonfiglio has dazzled audiences throughout the world with his ability to play harmonica concertos and then "sizzle" on the "blues".
Bonfiglio has been a concerto soloist with leading orchestras around the world. He has appeared as soloist with Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, John Williams and the Boston Pops on PBS and John Mauceri and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. He performed the world premiere of Henry Cowell's Harmonica Concerto with the Brooklyn Philharmonic and the West Coast premiere with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under the baton of Lucas Foss. He has also performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
Dedicated to new American music, Bonfiglio has commissioned a new Harmonica Concerto from Pulitzer Prize winning composer William Bolcom. His first RCA recording, Through the Raindrops, lauded for its blending of forms and captivating sound, spent eight months on the Billboard charts.
Bonfiglio studied composition with Aaron Copland and he got his Master's Degree in composition from Manhattan School of Music. He is the Founding Director of the Grand Canyon Music Festival. |
